This standard specifies the terminology, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for insert-knitted wire rope slings.

This standard is applicable to the buckles of six-strand steel wire rope slings that are folded back, paired manually inserted and mechanically inserted. The insertion of other multi-strand wire ropes can be implemented by reference.
